Manufacture, sale, use and throwing of
plastic bags less than 40 microns is
prohibited in the state of Meghalaya by the
Meghalaya Prohibition of Manufacture, Sale,
Use and Throwing of Low-density Plastic Bags
Act 2001.
Traders / business houses / citizens of Tura
are requested to stop use of low density
plastic bags.

drive to check the licenses of
traders/industrial units/business concerns
operating within Tura Municipal area.
